TheSupply Chain Manager is responsible for overseeing the end-to-end logistics and importation processes for shipments to the Philippines and Southeast Asia. This includes managing cargo consolidation at origin, ensuring compliance with local import regulations, and optimizing delivery to national and regional distribution centers. The role requires strong coordination with suppliers, forwarders, customs agents, and internal teams to achieve cost efficiency, timely delivery, and operational excellence. The position also focuses on identifying opportunities for cost savings, improving logistical processes, and ensuring accurate inventory management. Key Responsibilities International Logistics Coordination Manage and coordinate air, sea, and land shipments from various origins, including Asia, Central America, and the United States. Optimize cargo consolidation at origin, working closely with suppliers, forwarders, and shipping companies to minimize costs and maximize efficiency. Monitor shipment statuses and update delivery dates in the company’s ERP system. Importation Management Ensure compliance with Philippine and SEA import regulations, including customs standards and other important requirements for specific markets. Assign shipments to customs agents and oversee clearance processes to meet delivery timelines. Review and analyze import expenses, ensuring they align with established budget percentages. Calculate import taxes and associated costs to maintain accurate cash flow forecasting. Verify import documents for accuracy to avoid delays during customs clearance. National Logistics Coordinate the movement of goods from ports to distribution centers (CEDIS) and final delivery points. Manage and schedule national delivery appointments, ensuring timely dispatch to retailers and stores. Collaborate with warehouses to maintain accurate inventory records and optimize stock availability. Vendor and Partner Management Source and evaluate new service providers, including forwarders, customs agents, and logistics partners. Negotiate contracts and maintain strong relationships with existing vendors to secure favorable terms. Process Optimization and Reporting Present efficiency and cost-saving initiatives to senior management to improve operational performance. Use ERP systems to manage in-transit cargo and generate detailed reports on importation and logistics performance. Conduct periodic reviews of customs clearance times and delivery schedules to identify areas for improvement. Cross-Functional Collaboration Act as the key liaison between purchasing, commercial, and operations teams to align logistical efforts with business objectives.
