About the Role

As an Oracle Database Administrator, you’ll be responsible for maintaining, optimizing, and securing enterprise databases that support critical business applications. You will analyze performance issues, contribute to solution design, and provide mentorship to peers, ensuring best practices across the team.

Responsibilities
  • Independently manage and administer enterprise Oracle databases.
  • Monitor and tune database performance to ensure stability and efficiency.
  • Implement and maintain backup/recovery strategies.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve system/application issues.
  • Document troubleshooting processes and maintain knowledge repositories.
  • Provide training and guidance to junior team members.
  • Stay current with emerging technologies and best practices in database administration.
Must-Have Qualifications
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in database administration (Oracle preferred).
  • Strong understanding of DBMS architecture and administration.
  • Expertise in performance tuning and optimization.
  • Proficiency with SQL and scripting languages.
  • Knowledge of backup and recovery strategies.
  • Based in Manila; willing to work onsite.
Good-to-Have
  • Experience with cloud databases (AWS, Azure, GCP).
  • Familiarity with DevOps tools, CI/CD pipelines, and containerization (Docker/Kubernetes).
  • Exposure to hybrid/multi-cloud strategies.
  • Cloud or database certifications.
  • Hands-on with VMware, Linux, Windows, or Solaris environments.
