For more information, visit In one sentence Handling physical and applicative database administration activities supporting end 2 end life cycle of product from database perspective What will your job look like? Installing various DBMS (database management systems) versions and applying maintenance fixes supplied by the DBMS vendor Contribute in setting and providing first tuning database parameters (physical layout and memory buffers) Ensuring appropriate storage for the DBMS and enabling DBMS to work with storage devices and storage management software Installing internal and external DBA tools and Interfacing with any other technologies required by database applications Ensuring the backup & recovery systems functioning correctly Interact and work with multiple infra and IT teams as part of environment setup, maintenance and support Guide developers, assist them with database structure design as of business needs (e.g. indexes, constraints, integrity) Performing applicative database change management (prod & non prod) while assuring correct alignment to Amdocs infra methodologies Ensuring database availability, health, basic performance and assuring first level assistance for SQL tuning Production layout preparation and installation per Amdocs standard, policy and Business requirements Contribute to automation, standards and Database Processes by leading a whole thread activity to his maturity (Documentation, Publication to line) and taking part in modification of existing processes and methods Contribute to Root Cause Analysis, Lesson Learned and prevention processes to improve deliverables quality Participate in DB Forums, Triage and Troubleshooting with functional and non functional teams from various SBG and PBG areas (Amdocs and non Amdocs applications) Coordinate with other teams stakeholders to provide DB related expertise and problem solving services to all stakeholders during all project lifecycle (from Development till post production) by clarifying and addressing temporary and permanent solutions to unusual problems DB installations and upgrades, storage allocation, DB application structures changes, maintaining system security, first level backup and recovery for non production environments All you need is...
