Overview HCLTech National Capital Region, Philippines Oracle Database Administrator We are looking for a highly skilled Oracle DBA to manage and maintain our Oracle database environments. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the performance, integrity, and security of databases, as well as supporting development and operational teams with database-related tasks. Responsibilities Install, configure, and upgrade Oracle database software and related tools. Monitor database performance and implement tuning strategies to optimize efficiency. Perform regular backups and recovery operations using RMAN and other tools. Manage database security, including user access and roles. Design and implement database schemas, tables, indexes, and views. Apply patches and updates to maintain database health and compliance. Troubleshoot and resolve database-related issues in a timely manner. Support development teams with SQL query optimization and data modeling. Ensure high availability and disaster recovery planning for critical systems. Maintain documentation related to database configurations, procedures, and standards. Qualifications Education & Experience Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, or related field. 3–5 years of experience as an Oracle DBA in a production environment. Technical Skills Strong expertise in Oracle Database versions (12c, 19c, or later). Proficiency in SQL, PL/SQL, and performance tuning techniques. Experience with Oracle RAC, ASM, Data Guard, and GoldenGate. Familiarity with backup and recovery tools (e.g., RMAN). Knowledge of Linux/Unix operating systems and shell scripting. Understanding of database security, auditing, and compliance standards. Preferred Oracle Certified Professional (OCP) certification. Experience with cloud-based Oracle solutions (e.g., Oracle Cloud Infrastructure). Exposure to other database platforms (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL) is a plus.
