Job Description

The Finance and Accounting Assistant Manager will assist the Manager in managing and overseeing the department's daily operations, ensuring the accuracy of financial reports, and maintaining good controls and accounting processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise, train, and mentor a team of accountants and bookkeepers.
  • Prepare, review, and approve financial statements and reports.
  • Ensure adherence to accounting principles, regulations, and internal controls.
  • Oversee month-end and year-end closing procedures and account reconciliations.
  • Identify and implement improvements to accounting processes, systems, and controls.
  • Provide necessary information and support for external and internal audits.
  • Contribute to the annual budgeting process and monitor expenditures against the budget.
  • Monitor and analyze financial data to identify trends, resolve discrepancies, and support strategic decision-making.
  • Monitor bank balances, cash requirements, and approve disbursements.

Requirements:

  • College graduate with a degree in Accountancy, Finance, or a relevant field.
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) is an advantage.
  • At least 8 years of extensive experience in a business office setting performing finance and accounting duties.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Application, and SAP application knowledge is an advantage.
  • Knowledgeable with applicable tax assertions.
  • Trustworthy with excellent interpersonal and management skills.
  • Capable of multi-tasking, can work under pressure.
  • High level of accuracy and attention to details with a strict sense of meeting deadlines.
