About Project: We are looking for a Database administrator for our French client, who deals with the production of various types of glasses as well as cooperation with opticians. Their mission is to improve the quality of life by improving the quality of vision. Responsibilities As Database administrator you will be maintaining the SQL Server infrastructure in operational conditions, ensuring stability, security, and high availability while adhering to support processes; You will be building, deploying, and managing current and future SQL Server platforms, ensuring that database environments align with business and performance requirements; You will be troubleshooting incidents and handling problem management, diagnosing issues, identifying root causes, and implementing effective resolutions; You will be supporting reporting and communication efforts, providing stakeholders with critical database insights and system performance updates; You will be implementing automation via scripting, streamlining database operations and improving efficiency in routine administrative tasks; You will be ensuring proper documentation, creating detailed procedures for Level 2 and Level 3 support, allowing for smooth troubleshooting and knowledge sharing; You will be monitoring and maintaining database stability, response time, operational consistency, and lifecycle management, ensuring optimal performance of SQL Server databases. Requirements 5+ years of experience with SQL Server, including database design, maintenance, and troubleshooting; 3+ years of hands-on experience in database administration, with a focus on PostgreSQL, ensuring expertise in managing relational databases; Work in a hybrid set up (3 days onsite in Alabang, Muntinlupa and 2 days WFH) – Necessary condition; Strong experience with SQL and T-SQL, especially working with complex joins, Agent Jobs, and linked servers, ensuring efficient database operations; Experience in SQL Server installation, administration, setup, tuning, and troubleshooting, optimizing database performance and reliability; Experience with cloud solutions, particularly Azure, demonstrating knowledge of cloud-based database management; Strong experience in operational support, ensuring continuous database uptime and resolving performance issues; Familiarity with the ITIL framework, ensuring structured service management and adherence to best practices; Knowledge of servers, storage, and network infrastructure, enabling better integration of database systems with enterprise IT environments.
