Philippines - Hybrid Work Environment (Meet in Makati office once a month) We’re looking for an experienced Engineering Director to oversee and elevate the performance of multiple software development projects and engineering teams. This role is ideal for a technically adept leader with a strong background in system design, hands-on software development, and coaching engineers toward excellence in a fast-paced, startup environment. Responsibilities: Project Oversight: Own the success of 5–10 client projects , ensuring they are delivered on time, within scope, and meet quality standards. Technical Supervision: Guide the technical architecture of each project, making sure engineering teams are building the right solutions the right way. Team Management: Directly manage and support a team of 10–20 engineers , working on different client projects. Identify performance gaps, provide coaching, and promote growth. Reporting: Communicate project health and engineering performance to executive leadership, providing insights and recommendations. Requirements: 6+ years of professional software engineering experience Strong project management skills with experience in using project management tools like Linear. Proficiency in Typescript and React, with a solid understanding of software architecture and design principles. Excellent problem-solving abilities and a results-driven approach to software development. Strong leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and guide a team towards achieving project objectives. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of working collaboratively in a hybrid work environment. Nice to Haves: Familiarity with design tools like Figma, enhancing collaboration between the development and design teams. Experience with Python, adding versatility to your technical skill set and contributing to projects requiring a broader range of technologies. Why Join Us?
