The Desktop Support Technician will support end users for basic information technology needs related to hardware and software. This role involves troubleshooting to maintain system functionality and alignment with business goals, including installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of required software and hardware onsite or remotely for clients or colleagues. Responsibilities also include setup and maintenance of end user workstation equipment (laptops/desktops) and peripherals including telco-related technology. Activities may include removal and replacement of computer devices, coordinating with vendor technical support desks, and setting up software and hardware across operating systems such as Windows, UNIX, and Linux.

Responsibilities
  • Assist the Helpdesk Support team with desktop support tasks such as deployment of endpoints, peripherals, and telephony equipment
  • Assist business and operational/support staff with helpdesk-related items
  • Support IT Department tasks when required
  • Assist with team and operational training on various applications
  • Monitor daily operations and optimize processes to maximize technology efficiency
  • Demonstrate knowledge of telephony hardware and software
  • Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
  • Previous work experience as IT/Desktop support preferred
  • Completed at least 2 years in college, preferably with Information Technology courses
  • Strong teamwork, open communication, and the ability to give and receive constructive feedback
  • Solid fundamental IT knowledge and procedures
  • Proactive, with a good work ethic and willingness to improve personal performance and customer experience
  • Friendly, energetic, and engaged at all levels
