Responsibilities- Serve as the primary technical point of contact for clients, addressing their questions and concerns about satellite products and services.
- Collaborate with the engineering team to understand product specifications, capabilities, and limitations.
- Provide technical demonstrations and presentations to potential clients.
- Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective clients. Identify client needs and propose tailored satellite solutions to meet their requirements. Conduct regular follow-ups to ensure client satisfaction and address any issues.
- Business Development: Identify new business opportunities and market trends in the satellite industry. Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve revenue targets. Attend industry conferences, trade shows, and networking events to promote products and services.
- Proposal Development: Prepare and deliver technical proposals, including cost estimates, project timelines, and system specifications. Work with the engineering and finance teams to ensure proposals are accurate and competitive. Negotiate contracts and close deals with clients.
- Product Training and Support: Train clients on the use and maintenance of satellite systems. Provide ongoing technical support and troubleshooting assistance. Gather client feedback and communicate it to the engineering team for product improvement.
- Market Analysis: Conduct market research to understand competitor offerings and industry trends. Analyze customer needs and preferences to inform product development and marketing strategies.
- Collaboration with Internal Teams: Work closely with the engineering, marketing, and customer support teams to ensure seamless product delivery and client satisfaction. Provide input on product development based on client feedback and market demand.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (ECE, or related field). A Master’s degree or MBA is a plus.
- At least 5 years in satellite communication field.
- Hands-on experience with satellite equipment / systems.
- Involved in integration of multiple satellite components / network elements.
- Strong understanding of satellite technology, including communication systems, payloads, and ground stations.
- Familiarity with industry standards and regulations.
- Proficiency in technical software tools (e.g., MATLAB, STK, CAD software).
- Good to have coding experience.
- Good to have product development mindset.
- Good to have financial modeling experience.
- Proven experience in satellite technical sales or business development, preferably in the aerospace or telecommunications industry.
- Strong negotiation and closing skills.
- Ability to develop and execute sales strategies.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
- Strong presentation and public speaking skills.
- Ability to build and maintain strong client relationships.
- Strong teamwork and collaboration skills.
- Customer-focused mindset with a commitment to delivering high-quality service.
- Ability to analyze market trends and customer needs.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Travel to meet with clients, attend industry events, and visit project sites may be required.
- The role may involve working irregular hours to accommodate client schedules and project deadlines.
