JOB PROFILE JOB TITLE Specialist: ICT Infrastructure DURATION Twelve (12) Months Fixed Term Contract REPORTING TO Manager: ICT Infrastructure JOB GRADE C5 Minimum Midpoint NO. OF INCUMBENTS 1 DIVISION Strategy and Information Management LOCATION National Office MAIN PURPOSE OF THE JOB To provide enterprise-wide ICT Infrastructure support which includes developing, maintaining, backup and optimizing critical ICT Infrastructure particularly network infrastructure, server infrastructure, data communications and telecommunications systems KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS ❖ Provide inputs on the development and implementation of ICT strategy, policies, standards, guidelines and procedures ❖ Implement and administer Seda’s ICT Infrastructure Security which includes ICT Disaster Recovery and Service Continuity Plans ❖ Participate in ICT infrastructure finance and procurement activities in line with ICT strategic and security plan REQUIRED MINIMUM QUALIFICATION ❖ Matric (NQF Level 4) plus a National Diploma ( NQF Level 6) in Information and Communication Technology coupled with recognised industry certifications ❖ Bachelor’s degree (NQF Level 7) in Information and Communication Technology coupled with recognised industry certifications as added advantage REQUIRED MINIMUM WORK EXPERIENCE ❖ 4-6 years’ experience in ICT environment of which at least 3 years should have been at Senior/Lead ICT Infrastructure Support level with proven track record of maintaining enterprise-wide ICT infrastructure ❖ Prior experience in network infrastructure, server and storage infrastructure, data communications and telecommunications systems ❖ Prior experience in ICT security management, back-up & disaster recovery planning and service continuity ❖ Thorough knowledge of developments in the ICT industry ❖ Understanding of ICT governance frameworks and quality standards e.g. COBIT, ITIL and relevant ISO Standards) ❖ Knowledge of ICT acquisition processes and principles INHERENT JOB REQUIREMENT CRITICAL COMPETENCIES ❖ Advisory Service ❖ Communication ❖ Analytical ❖ Problem-Solving & Decision-Making ❖ Planning & Organising ❖ Performance Driven ❖ Team Work ❖ Adaptability & Flexibility ❖ Basic Computer Skills ❖ Office Management NB: The appointment of candidates will be made in line with SEDA’s Employment Equity Plan.
