Role Description

This is a full-time remote role for a Mandarin and English Interpreter. The interpreter will be responsible for accurately interpreting conversations, meetings, and written materials from Mandarin to English and vice versa. Day-to-day tasks include participating in virtual meetings, phone calls, and video conferences to provide real-time interpretation and ensuring the clarity and accuracy of translated materials. The role also involves coordinating with clients and team members to meet interpretation needs and maintaining confidentiality and ethics in all interactions.

Qualifications
  • Fluency in Mandarin and English with excellent verbal and written communication skills in both languages
  • Proven experience in simultaneous and consecutive interpreting
  • Strong understanding of cultural nuances and the ability to bridge communication gaps
  • Experience in translation and localization
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote setting
  • Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
  • Relevant certification or degree in interpretation, translation, linguistics, or related field is preferred
  • Experience in legal, medical, or technical interpretation is a plus
