Role overview

In this role you will be the primary point of contact and subject matter expert for export compliance systems operations, advise with compliance knowledge and technical expertise. You will work with stakeholders to analyze business scenarios in various ERP systems via building reporting tools (queries) and data analyses, propose and validate solutions by performing UAT and production QA to meet business needs. The ideal candidate will help drive process improvements by increasing efficiencies, accuracies and productivity.

Major Responsibilities
  • Export Compliance Program Management for Clients: Collaborate with high profile clients and project leads on multiple large projects spanning across ERP platforms (SAP, IMFirst, Impulse, Shipwire, etc.) and multiple development teams; advise with compliance knowledge during requirements gathering.
  • Automation, Process Improvement and System Enhancement: Partner cross-functionally to create data and system requirements for metrics; deliver business and systems process automation improvements to increase efficiencies, accuracies and productivity; document feature/function information in a requirements management tool (BRDs, JIRA, etc.); create test cases and provide UAT results.
  • Performance Metrics, Reporting, and Analysis: Develop key performance metrics and dashboards to drive business decisions; provide data-driven improvement recommendations through data mining and analyses; produce detailed monthly and ad hoc reports.
  • Supporting Systems Operations and Auditing: Resolve user issues promptly; enhance scripts/applications based on new requirements; produce technical design and maintain documentation to provide understanding of scripts/applications.
  • Export Operations Administration: Manage meetings with internal stakeholders and external clients; provide timely updates on project phases.
Qualifications
  • Experience: 3–5 years of experience as a Business Analyst/Reports Developer; strong analytical background.
  • Communication: Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
  • Technical: MS Office (Excel macros, formulas, pivot/lookup), SQL/VBA; familiarity with Magellan or other BI software is a plus; experience with ERP systems such as SAP/GTS or other Trade Compliance systems is a plus.
  • Additional: Ability to analyze statistical reports; strong time management, prioritization, and data integrity; willingness to work night shifts; note that this is not a complete listing of duties.
