Join to apply for the Paralegal role at AboitizPower This position is responsible for providing technical and administrative support to all the members of the legal team of AP, including monitoring and updating legal developments, research results, team presentations, and permits, licenses, and authorizations, assisting in research and investigations, liaising with government agencies, collating, generating and preparing reports, and assisting in such other legal-related matters as may be required from time to time. Follows up, monitors, and updates the status of permits, licenses, authorizations, and cases involving AP and its BUs/DUs Prepares, updates, and implements the Compliance Checklist and other legal audit checklists as may be generated from time to time Submits documentary requirements to local government units and national government agencies, and assists in compliance related efforts with such units and agencies Conducts legal research on various cases and legal issues Updates project-related monitoring database/list and assists Projects Group in preparing reports and presentations Accesses and collects data, reports, and other information to ensure case/issue resolution Ensures safekeeping all contracts of external legal counsels and all legal-related documents Drafts agreements and letters, updates contracts, and prepares inter-office memos Coordinates with and assists external legal counsels in gathering information and case evidence, identifying and coordinating with witnesses, and collating documents to be used during hearings Coordinates with local government and government agencies concerning permits and licenses and builds relationships Updates the Summary of Cases and other summaries, reports, and presentations required by the Legal team Coordinates, liaises, and meets with external counsels, business units, and companies of the Group, courts, and other quasi-judicial agencies Minimum Qualifications At least 3 years’ relevant experience Ability to communicate verbally and in writing; Skills in word processing in the Windows environment Considerable knowledge of office practices; working knowledge of legal procedures and legal terminology; knowledge of legal research procedures Ability to perform routine legal research requiring the exercise of considerable independent judgment Ability to perform complex legal/administrative work with accuracy Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees and other departments in the Business Group Knowledge of substantive laws and legal procedures, especially those related to the energy industry Seniority level Associate Employment type Full-time Job function Legal #J-18808-Ljbffr
