The Opportunity:

As a Paralegal, you will play a key role in supporting our legal operations by managing insurance claims, coordinating with insurance brokers, and assisting in litigation-related tasks. You will also handle state licensing processes for acquisitions and ensure regulatory compliance. This position requires excellent communication skills and the ability to summarize complex information clearly and concisely for executive leadership.

This position is remote and offers you the flexibility of working from home.

Your responsibilities will include:
  • Manage and monitor insurance claims and coordinate with insurance brokers
    on ongoing cases.
  • Assist in the management of lawsuits, including maintaining documentation, timelines, and coordination with legal counsel.
  • Oversee the legal process related to state licensing for new or potential acquisitions, ensuring timely submissions and renewals.
  • Liaise with state agencies to ensure full compliance with licensing requirements.
  • Prepare and write clear, concise summary reports and updates for ownership and executive leadership.
  • Maintain accurate records of legal matters, communications, and compliance documents.
  • Support other legal and administrative tasks as required.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience as a Paralegal or Legal Assistant in healthcare or senior living sector is a plus.
  • Strong understanding of insurance claims and litigation processes.
  • Familiarity with state licensing requirements and acquisition-related legal documentation.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Strong organizational
    and time management skills with attention to detail.
  • Ability to produce clear, professional summary reports and documentation for executive review.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and document management systems.
  • Experience with US insurance and state laws is desired.
  • Experience in employment law is a plus.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree or Paralegal certification.
  • Experience working in multi-state environments or with regulatory agencies.
  • Understanding of healthcare or senior living regulatory environments.
Service Fee:

Industry standards applicable to the state depending on work experience and level of expertise.
Hours:

US Eastern Standard Time (MST) - 9am to 6pm
