The Housekeeping Manager will be responsible for establishing a high degree of excellence in the Housekeeping Department, working closely with the Service Department, and ensuring all Guest rooms, Suites, Corridors, back-of-the-house storage, and linen rooms are maintained to a high standard.

Responsibilities
  • Establish a high degree of excellence in the Housekeeping Department to all assigned areas of the Hotel.
  • Be specifically concerned with Room Attendants, Floor Supervisors, Public Area Supervisors, Public Area Attendants, and Linen Room.
  • In the absence of the Executive Housekeeper, operate the Housekeeping Department and all other areas of responsibility.
  • Ensure effective and complete training is in use and all associates are well trained.
  • Ensure proper key controls are in effect and take accurate linen inventories per SOP.
  • Review operating statements and critique unusual surpluses and shortages.
  • Audit and approve schedules, wage projections, wage recaps, and payroll.
Administrative Responsibilities
  • Ensure all reports are prepared completely and on time.
  • Involve Supervisors and Linen Room Attendants in administrative functions.
  • Prepare and submit information necessary for budgeting purposes.
  • Screen and acknowledge daily work schedules.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Hotel Management or a relevant discipline.
  • Minimum of 5 years in a supervisory Housekeeping role in a similar capacity, preferably in a 5-star class environment.
  • Knowledgeable in Housekeeping operations and cleaning methods.
  • Excellent English communication skills, both written and spoken.
