Automation Technician – Quezon City, Philippines An Automation Technician plays a crucial role in ensuring automation systems and equipment operate efficiently and effectively. You will work closely with engineers and other professionals to install, troubleshoot, and maintain automated systems, read technical diagrams, understand programming logic, and apply problem‑solving skills to resolve issues. Install and configure automation equipment according to specified procedures and standards. Conduct regular maintenance and inspections on automated systems to ensure optimal performance. Troubleshoot and resolve issues with control systems and mechanical components. Collaborate with engineering teams to design and implement custom automation solutions. Perform software updates and modifications on programmable logic controllers (PLCs). Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations during all automation activities. Provide technical support and training to staff on automation systems and processes. Document all inspections, maintenance, and repair activities. Analyze system performance data to identify areas for improvement and efficiency gains. Assist in the development and implementation of preventative maintenance schedules. Identify and recommend upgrades or enhancements to existing automation equipment. Participate in project meetings to provide input on automation capabilities and limitations. Associate degree in Automation Technology, Engineering, or a related field. Minimum of two years experience working with automated systems or equipment. Proficiency in reading schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals. Strong understanding of control systems, PLCs, and human‑machine interfaces (HMIs). Excellent problem‑solving skills with a detail‑oriented and analytical mindset. Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team. Strong verbal and written communication skills for documentation and reporting.
