Citrix Engineer

Senior Technical Recruiter | Technology & Engineering Albertsons-Safeway Company is one of the largest food and drug retailers with 2,300+ stores. The Albertsons-Safeway family of brands includes some of the most prominent brands in food retailing, with a growing base of loyal shoppers. The Information Technology Department has an opening for a Citrix Support Engineer reporting to the Senior Director of IT Services and Support. Key Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Ability to engineer solutions for 2,000+ Virtual Desktops. Experience leading and representing the Service in backlog discussions and standups to establish appropriate prioritization of Live Site requirements. Good experience leveraging data and metrics to drive behavior, process, and priority decisions. Using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions, or approaches to problems. Knowledge and experience with Citrix image management such as MCS, Elastic Layering, and PVS. Working knowledge of Citrix Virtual Application. Working knowledge of FS Logic profile solutions. Knowledge and experience working with SCRUM, SAFE, or Agile frameworks. Ability to host support calls with Vendors. Knowledge of security best practices and industry standards such as CIS, NIST, Etc. Strong technical background and ability to work with engineers, developers, and other key stakeholders. Lead design, performance-monitoring, tuning, scripting, upgrades, and maintenance of production Citrix systems. Work closely with development and security teams to identify gaps and implement solutions to drive improvements in reliability, security, performance, and availability Works independently; may require guidance in highly complex situations. Provide remote support for Citrix-related incidents. Complete understanding of Windows Client and Linux. This would entail administration and automation/provisioning technologies. Deep working knowledge of desktop, VDI, and mobile enterprise hardware Develop training material and training schedule. Analyzes and Engineers workflows and procedures and implements changes to the production environment. Develop and Engineer improvements and management solutions. Able to understand expectations and recognize issues that may affect delivery. Create detailed design documents for turnover. Runs scripts and drafts updates to processing procedures/documentation for application processing and backup/contingency. Documents customer inquiries, resolves routine problems, or escalates as necessary to close problem records. Help with technical escalations coming in via MS Teams, E-mail, Service Now, etc. Participate in a weekly on-call rotation. Qualifications: At least 4 to 6 years of supporting Windows, Citrix, and Azure compute platforms. Must have a solid foundation in Citrix Virtual Apps and Virtual desktops from initial requirements gathering, testing, documentation, and installation through all troubleshooting aspects. Strong working knowledge of Citrix Cloud, Elastic Layers, FSLogic, USB redirection, Azure Storage Platforms. Advanced knowledge of virtualization and storage best practices, configurations, and communication. Experience with and understanding of Azure and Hypervisors. Working experience in Engineering solutions for large enterprise companies (2000+ Virtual Desktops) Full understanding and working experience of Windows and Citrix Cloud administration technologies. Full understanding and working experience of Windows10.x and Windows 11.x technologies. Working experience in Scripting languages such as VBS, PowerShell, Batch, etc. Working experience in a software deployment platform (RADIA, SCCM, Intune, etc.) Excellent written and communication skills Excellent organizational and troubleshooting skills with attention to detail. Knowledge of documentation processes/procedures. Ability to understand client expectations and recognize and escalate issues that may affect delivery. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively in a diverse organization. Self-starter, with a demonstrated ability to learn beyond formal training with a strong aptitude for delivering quality products. Complete understanding of Windows Client, MAC Client, and VMWare/Citrix VDI technologies. This would entail administration and automation/provisioning technologies. #J-18808-Ljbffr
