Mobility Specialist - APAC at Remote (Remote role; fully remote).

What this job can offer you

The Mobility team ensures employees transition smoothly across borders, adheres to local laws, and provides immigration and relocation assistance. They improve compliance for remote work and business travel and collaborate with vendors to ensure seamless relocation logistics. You will contribute to Remote’s leadership in global mobility as a member of the Onboarding and Mobility team.

What you bring
  • Proven experience in immigration compliance, global mobility, or similar roles with a focus on immigration
  • Comprehensive understanding of immigration procedures and compliance processes
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Composure and efficiency under pressure during peak workloads
  • Experience in the technology sector or during rapid growth is desirable
  • Flexible, adaptable team player who can shift with changing priorities
  • Strong customer-facing experience with excellent communication skills across diverse client bases
  • Interest in expanding knowledge of global immigration laws
  • Experience working remotely and/or asynchronously with minimal supervision is an advantage
  • Fluent in English (additional languages are a plus)
Key Responsibilities
  • Provide legal and strategic guidance on immigration compliance service delivery
  • Monitor and control Remote products and services for immigration compliance
  • Establish, maintain, and strengthen relationships with clients and internal stakeholders
  • Develop in-house immigration services to improve revenue, efficiency, and customer satisfaction
  • Analyze, prepare, and submit visa/work permit applications
  • Maintain up-to-date immigration law knowledge and ensure ongoing regulatory compliance
  • Handle escalations, determine when senior review is required, and guide stakeholders to timely resolutions
  • Advise on travel needs, counsel on immigration processes, and act as a point of contact for business travel and sponsorship cases
  • Manage case statuses using case management and billing systems
  • Provide solution-based responses for complex client cases
  • Work autonomously and take ownership of day-to-day tasks
  • Proactively improve processes through automation and documentation

Remote Compensation Philosophy

Remote’s Total Rewards philosophy ensures fair, unbiased compensation and competitive benefits in all locations. We pay above in-location rates and support global talent hiring with local wealth in developing countries. Salary ranges are geo-adjusted to reflect geographic pay differentials. The base salary range for this full-time position is $26,700 - $60,050 USD; actual pay depends on location, skills, experience, and business needs. All compensation changes related to internal moves are reviewed by the Total Rewards & People Enablement team on a case-by-case basis.
