Job Summary The Junior Architect / Document Controller is responsible for assisting the design team in developing architectural plans, drawings, and presentations, while ensuring that all project documentation is accurately organized, updated, and properly archived. This role supports both creative and administrative functions within the architectural department. Key Responsibilities Architectural Duties Assist in the preparation of architectural drawings, 3D models, and design presentations. Support senior architects in design development, space planning, and detailing. Coordinate with consultants and contractors to ensure accurate implementation of design intent. Prepare technical drawings and construction documents in compliance with building codes and standards. Conduct site visits and prepare field reports when required. Document Control Duties Maintain and manage all project-related documents (drawings, specifications, correspondence, permits, etc.). Ensure proper document version control and distribution to internal teams and external stakeholders. Implement and maintain a structured document filing and retrieval system (digital and physical). Track revisions and updates to architectural and engineering drawings. Support project managers in monitoring submission deadlines and documentation compliance. Qualifications Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture or equivalent. Experience: 2-3 years of relevant experience in architecture, construction, or document control. Technical Skills: Proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp, Revit, or other design software. Knowledge of MS Office, Adobe Acrobat, and document management systems. Familiarity with construction documentation standards and file naming conventions. Soft Skills: Strong organizational and multitasking abilities. Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
