The Business Analyst (Digital Innovation) is responsible for gathering and documenting the functional requirements, documenting the technology solution, assisting in the implementation of these technology solutions, and ensuring that the solution aligns with the business objective. The Junior BA will work closely with the Digital Innovation Manager and the stakeholders to understand the stakeholder needs, translate these needs into business requirements, convert it into user stories, and ensure proper documentation. The ideal candidate should assist in designing the applications to be developed and how each component of the app will work step-by-step throughout the journey. The candidate must have strong analytical skills, and a passion for leveraging digital tools to improve business operations.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Requirements Gathering & Analysis

• Work closely with the Product Owner and Stakeholders to capture the business needs, project objectives, and expected results
• Analyze and understand these requirements, facilitate the requirements elaboration, and map these requirements into features and user stories
• Document the business requirements, user stories, and work with the solution designer and UX/UI team to design the ideal digital experience

Solution Design & Implementation Support

• Work with the Technical team (Solutions Design and Development Teams) to implement technology solutions based on the features, user stories, and the corresponding acceptance criteria
• Ensure that the technical and functional requirements are met in the system development
• Participate in the technical discussions and introduce ideas that may enhance the solution
• Work closely with the Product Owner and Technical team to assist with the refinement, user stories management, and prioritization of features based on business impact and complexity.
• Manage potential changes in the business requirements to ensure that concerned stakeholders remain in agreement with the solution scope

Testing & Quality Assurance

• Collaborate with the Solutions Designer to validate the technical solution and ensure that the system functionality aligns with the business need
• Assist in the User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and provide feedback

Documentation and Training

• Document and maintain the functional and technical specifications, system diagram, and system changes
• Collaborate with the necessary teams to develop user guides and manuals
• Establish and maintain a library of technology capabilities and corresponding business rules to enable service requirements and re-usability

JOB QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS REQUIRED

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in Business Analysis, Quality Assurance, I.T., Digital Innovation or Digital Transformation roles.
• Experience in working on custom development for mobile and web applications and portals is a plus.

TECHNICAL SKILLS:

• Experience in business writing skills including Business Requirement Documents (BRDs), System Requirement Documents, use case specifications, and functional specifications.
• Experienced in developing detailed technical documentation, documenting solutions, and accurately conveying the requirements to the technical team.
• Knowledge of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and Agile methodologies.
• Familiarity with documentation and system flow diagram tools.
• Strong understanding of IT infrastructure, systems, and applications.
• Proficient with MS Office products including Outlook, Teams, Word, Visio, Powerpoint, and Excel.
• Exposure to enterprise software systems such as ERP, CRM, SAP, or project management tools is a plus.

• Ability to work both independently and in collaboration with other cross-functional teams.
• Effective presentation skills and interpersonal skills.
• Able to manage multiple projects at the same time.
• Eagerness to learn and adapt to new technologies.
• Willing to work full-time and on-site at Pasay.
