Engineering & Maintenance Supervisor Job Description:

The Engineering and Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for the management of the maintenance department, including buildings and grounds for the assigned facility.

This position will be responsible for all day-to-day operations of the Maintenance Team. The Supervisor will also be responsible for staying within the maintenance budget and leading projects associated with productivity increase, cost savings and capacity increase.

  • Inspect buildings, equipment, and systems to identify any issues.
  • Repair faulty equipment units and damaged structures.
  • Develop and implement preventative maintenance procedures.
  • Manage heating and plumbing systems to guarantee functionality.
  • Plan and schedule repairs.
  • Conduct periodic quality checks on equipment and systems to ensure everything is up to standard.
  • Perform general maintenance tasks including landscaping, painting, and carpentry.
  • Help develop and implement the budget for the maintenance department.
  • Maintain the inventory records for equipment and supplies.
  • Performs other tasks as may be required from time to time

TRAINING AND SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED:

  • Specific technical knowledge (troubleshooting, maintenance, some programming) of boilers, air compressors, conveyors, motors, and bearings.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills in Electrical and Mechanical maintenance.
  • Strong desire to work "hands-on".

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

  • Minimum 5 years' experience in a supervisor role in a manufacturing facility, food manufacturing preferred.
