Business Development Lead

The Business Development Lead is responsible for evaluating, analyzing, and shaping new internal business opportunities that drive Maxicare’s growth and innovation pipeline. This role focuses on internal feasibility analysis, commercial modeling, and business case development for new projects such as new care models, clinic builds, or service innovations. The role combines strategic foresight with financial discipline to ensure initiatives are scalable, profitable, and aligned with organizational priorities. Key Responsibilities Opportunity Assessment: Identify and assess new business initiatives, products, or ventures through detailed market, operational, and financial analysis. Business Case Development: Prepare comprehensive feasibility studies and investment proposals, including cost-benefit, NPV, payback, and ROI modeling. Portfolio Evaluation: Continuously assess ongoing projects to validate assumptions, refine business models, and ensure return on investment. Internal Collaboration: Work closely with Finance, Operations, Sales, and PCC teams to validate data, align forecasts, and ensure smooth implementation of approved projects. Strategic Insights: Generate insights from data to recommend business pivots, scaling opportunities, or process improvements. Governance & Reporting: Present analysis and recommendations to the Executive Leadership Team (ELT) and support decision-making through structured reports and dashboards. Benchmarking: Track market and industry trends to inform strategic business directions and maintain Maxicare’s competitive advantage. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or Industrial Engineering (MBA preferred). 8–10 years of experience in business development, corporate planning, or financial analysis. Strong command of financial modeling, valuation, and cost-benefit frameworks. Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and presentation skills.Experience in healthcare, insurance, or corporate development is an advantage.
