Application Support Engineer

We seek a Application Engineer, Mid- Level who shares our passion for innovation and change. This role is critical to helping our business partners evolve and adapt to consumers' personalized expectations in this new technological era, with the position operating on PST hours .

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, configure, and maintain monitoring dashboards, alerts, and reports across Splunk, AppDynamics, Grafana, and AWS CloudWatch.

• Analyze performance metrics to detect anomalies, troubleshoot issues, and recommend solutions.

• Collaborate with development, operations, and infrastructure teams to ensure optimal application and system performance.

• Implement monitoring best practices for reliability, scalability, and security.

• Participate in on-call rotations and incident response activities.

• Support automation initiatives through scripting and tool integration.
  

What will help you succeed:

Experience

• • Minimum of 3 years in monitoring and performance management.

  • Exposure to production environments, preferably in DevOps or SRE roles.

  • Experience managing monitoring tools in Agile environments
    

Technical Skills

• Splunk:

  • Proficiency in Splunk Enterprise and Splunk Cloud.

  • Experience with creating and managing dashboards, reports, and alerts.

  • Strong knowledge of SPL (Search Processing Language).

  • Familiarity with data ingestion, indexing, and data modeling.

• AppDynamics:

  • Expertise in application performance monitoring.

  • Ability to configure and manage application and business transaction monitoring.

  • Experience with custom instrumentation and alerting.

• Grafana:

  • Proficient in creating and managing dashboards.

  • Knowledge of supported data sources (e.g., Prometheus, InfluxDB).

  • Understanding of visualization best practices.

• AWS CloudWatch:

  • Strong understanding of AWS services and architecture.

  • Experience in configuring metrics, logs, dashboards, alarms, and notifications.
    

Analytical Skills

• Strong problem-solving and analytical capabilities.

• Ability to interpret complex data and present findings clearly.
  

Soft Skills

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

• Strong attention to detail and multitasking abilities.

• Collaborative mindset when working with cross-functional teams.
  

Additional Skills

• Knowledge of scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash) for automation and custom monitoring solutions.

• Familiarity with container orchestration tools (e.g., Kubernetes, Docker).

• Understanding of ITIL or other service management frameworks.

• Experience in proactive capacity planning and system optimization.
  

Other Considerations

• Willingness to participate in on-call rotations.

• Adaptability to fast-paced, changing priorities.
