Financial Controller

About the Role As a Controller, you will play a crucial role in supporting the CFO with day‑to‑day financial management and ensuring the accuracy and compliance of our financial reporting. You will oversee the preparation of financial statements, management reports, internal controls, and assist with audits. This role requires a strong understanding of accounting principles, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to work in a fast‑paced, high‑growth environment. Responsibilities Financial Reporting: Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and compliance with accounting standards. Month‑End Close: Manage the month‑end close process, ensuring all financial data is accurate and reported in a timely manner. Internal Controls: Develop and maintain internal control systems to safeguard company assets and ensure accurate financial reporting. Audit Support: Assist in internal and external audits, providing the necessary documentation and information to auditors. Cash Flow Management: Assist the CFO in cash flow management and forecasting, ensuring liquidity and financial stability. Regulatory Compliance: Monitor and ensure compliance with relevant financial regulations and standards (e.g., GAAP, tax regulations). Tax Preparation: Support tax filings and work closely with external tax advisors to ensure timely and accurate tax compliance. Financial Analysis: Conduct detailed financial analysis to identify trends, variances, and areas for cost optimization. Process Improvement: Identify and implement improvements in accounting processes and systems to enhance efficiency and accuracy. Competencies and Qualifications Must‑Have Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a controller or similar position Skilled in preparing and reviewing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements ensuring compliance Proficient in analyzing financial data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for cost optimization Excellent knowledge of GAAP and financial regulations Experience with any financial software (e.g., QuickBooks) Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate with senior management and other stakeholders Nice‑To‑Have CPA Certification Prior experience working in fintech or SaaS environment is highly preferred Knowledge of international accounting standards and multi‑currency financial management Experience with audit coordination and tax preparation Seniority level Mid‑Senior level Employment type Full‑time Job function Finance Industries Financial Services, Technology, Information and Media, and Software Development #J-18808-Ljbffr
