We’re looking for a Finance Assistant to support our growing finance team This is a fantastic opportunity to deepen your skills in a fast-paced, flexible, and supportive environment. What You’ll Be Doing Month-End & Year-End Close: Assist in supporting month-end and year-end closing processes by preparing journal entries, reconciling accounts, and ensuring financial data is accurately recorded. Payouts & Financial Reports: Ensure the accuracy of payments, processing invoices, and ensuring timely disbursements. Assist with the preparation of monthly, and annual financial reports to ensure completeness and accuracy. Account Reconciliation: Regularly reconcile bank statements, accounts payable, and accounts receivable to maintain accurate financial records. Data Entry & Financial Systems: Update and maintain financial records in accounting software (Xero, etc.) and ensure data is accurately tracked and reported. Collaboration with Stakeholders: Work closely with internal departments and external stakeholders to ensure the timely processing of payments and resolve any discrepancies or issues. Expense Management: Review employee expense reports for accuracy and compliance with company policies, ensuring proper documentation. Audit Preparation & Compliance: Support the finance team in preparing for audits by providing required documentation and ensuring adherence to financial controls. Process Improvements: Contribute to ongoing improvements in financial processes to increase efficiency and accuracy. Qualifications A degree/diploma in Finance, Accounting, Business — or equivalent experience. Prior experience in finance or accounting (bonus if you’ve worked with trust accounting platforms). Hands-on experience with account reconciliation processes. Strong attention to detail and a love for accuracy. Great communication skills — you’ll be working with multiple stakeholders. Super organized with the ability to juggle multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines. Comfortable with Microsoft Office (especially Excel). Discreet and professional when handling sensitive financial info.
