At Goodnotes, we’ve always been passionate about helping learners think, create, and understand better through handwritten notes. Our app is already the go-to choice for students who rely on handwriting to learn deeply and retain knowledge. But learning doesn’t just happen in isolation, it happens in classrooms, where teachers and students come together around shared ideas, challenges, and discoveries. We’re expanding our focus from individual note-taking to the classroom experience, empowering teachers and students to make in-class learning more engaging, accessible, and effective.

• Impact & Delivery – Ensure teams deliver high-quality work with impactful outcomes in the product.
• Technical leadership – Contribute to roadmap & strategy; make technical decisions when needed.
• People management – Mentor and guide the professional and technical development of team members.
• Building high-performing teams – Scale and manage engineering teams likely extending to other mobile platforms.

• Experience working on mobile apps loved by millions of users.
• In-depth knowledge of front-end and mobile technologies with hands-on development and management experience, preferably in a multi-surface product including iOS, Android, and desktop environments.
• Have managed and led a sizable cross-functional engineering team with a strong delivery track record.
• Enjoy involvement in technical details, architecture reviews, and providing technical guidance or performing PR reviews as needed.
• Nice-to-have additional experience:
  • Experience working on a world-class education product
  • Experience working on a real-time collaborative productivity product
  • Experience with machine learning
  • Passionate about education and emerging technologies, architectures & products in this space
