The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of U.S. accounting principles and experience in delivering high-quality accounting services in a remote environment. Key Responsibilities Financial Management: Prepare and maintain accurate financial records, including general ledger maintenance. Assist in preparing financial statements such as income statements and balance sheets. Perform bank and credit card reconciliations. Payroll Processing: Process client payroll using tools like Gusto , ADP , or other payroll systems. Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations. Track and report employee benefits, deductions, and tax withholdings. Tax Compliance Support: Preparing sales tax filings and corporate tax documentation. Ensure compliance with U.S. federal and state tax regulations. Support year-end tax preparation in collaboration with clients’ CPAs. Accounts Payable/Receivable: Manage and reconcile accounts payable and receivable. Process invoices, payments, and monitor cash flow. Client Communication: Collaborate with U.S.-based accounting firms to gather and verify financial and payroll information. Address client inquiries and provide financial updates as needed. Process Improvement: Identify and suggest improvements to enhance accounting and payroll workflows. Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. 2-5 years of accounting experience, preferably with U.S. and/or CA clients or firms. Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks , Xero , or similar payroll systems like Gusto or ADP . Familiarity with document management tools like Dext or Hubdoc or Bill.com . Understanding of U.S. GAAP and tax regulations. Excellent written and verbal English communication skills. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Reliable high-speed internet connection and remote work setup.
