Role As a Tax Accountant, you will work as part of a high-performing team to reconcile and prepare financial statements and tax returns for individuals, partnerships, trusts and companies. You will have a minimum of three years experience working with an Australian tax firm and will have previously worked on businesses with a turnover of at least AU $5m. Responsibilities Communicate proactively with managers and seniors about the priority and progress of jobs allocated to you Take ownership and responsibility of tasks and jobs delegated to you, following relevant checklists and procedures to ensure adherence to established standards. Prepare Business Activity Statements Reconcile and complete tax returns for individuals, trusts, companies and partnerships Essential skills and experience As part of the screening process for this role you will be asked to demonstrate your experience or understanding of the following: Demonstrated technical abilities and experience in using MYOB AE, Excel Microsoft Outlook, QuickBooks, MYOB Account Right and Xero Ability to prepare Business Activity Statements with an understanding of GST Free transactions Your experience in completing Australian tax returns for individuals, trust, companies and partnerships. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Commerce, Finance or equivalent experience Have enrolled or is looking to enrol in CA/CPA 5+ years of professional Australian accounting experience Also hiring now Sourcedpeople are also looking for bookkeepers, accounting admin staff with experience working with Australian firms.
