Responsibilities

  • To oversee, coordinate, and lead the entire marketing department of the strategic business unit;
  • To create or develop and execute marketing plan and strategy in order to boost customer traffic, sales and/or profitability;
  • To identify new or changes in existing PTM-Primary Target Market & PTC-Primary Target Competitors for continued shopper satisfaction & market competitiveness;
  • To analyze, conceptualize and implement all marketing related activities to ensure customer patronage, sales turnover, market share and competitiveness, and buying frequency and recency;
  • To identify shopper values and changing consumer needs thru gathering internal & external data (through 3rd party agencies, vendors, department initiative) and designs plans on customer loyalty & market leadership
  • To plan, design, develop, and conduct environment and competitor analysis , promotion, planning and implementation to be able to effectively manage customer acquisition and retention programs;
  • To prepare, control & oversee marketing / co-marketing plans & budgets for existing and upcoming new stores
  • To innovate marketing concepts thru learnings from BETs & MSs
  • To develop directions for house brand management ; and
  • To create a high performance culture in the entire Marketing department by adopting people management practices that emphasizes empowerment, quality, productivity standards and goal attainment.
Education & Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • A Master’s degree (MBA or equivalent) is an advantage, especially for larger or more competitive supermarket chains.
Work Experience
  • 3–5 years of experience in marketing, preferably in the retail , FMCG (fast-moving consumer goods) , or supermarket industry .
  • Proven track record in developing and executing marketing campaigns , promotional strategies, or brand management.
Key Skills
  • Marketing & Promotional Strategy:
    • Experience in in-store promotions , seasonal campaigns , and loyalty programs .
    • Knowledge of consumer behavior in retail.
  • Digital Marketing:
    • Social media management, email marketing, and SEO/SEM.
    • Use of tools like Google Analytics, Meta Ads, or similar.
  • Leadership & Communication:
    • Ability to lead a team and coordinate with other departments (e.g., Sales, Purchasing, Store Operations).
    • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Analytical & Budget Management:
    • Ability to analyze sales and campaign data .
    • Experience in budgeting and ROI tracking .
  • Creativity and Innovation:
    • Ability to develop creative campaigns and adjust marketing based on trends and customer feedback.
Preferred Additional Qualifications
  • Familiarity with point-of-sale (POS) systems and CRM software .
  • Knowledge of local market trends and competitor analysis .
  • Background in graphic design or content creation tools (e.g., Canva, Adobe suite) is a plus.
