About the role

As the Crop Portfolio Manager (Rice and Corn) at Aljay Agro-Industrial Solutions Inc., you will play a crucial role in optimising the company's rice and corn crop portfolio. This full-time position is based in Isabela, Cagayan Valley, and will involve managing the strategic direction and performance of our key crop categories.

What you'll be doing

• Develop and implement comprehensive crop management strategies to maximise yields, minimise costs, and ensure the overall profitability of the rice and corn crop portfolio
• Analyze market trends, competitive intelligence, and customer insights to identify opportunities for product innovation and portfolio optimization
• Collaborate with the agronomy team to trial and evaluate new crop varieties, farming techniques, and technologies
• Oversee the production planning and distribution of rice and corn products to meet customer demand
• Monitor crop performance and identify areas for improvement, implementing corrective actions as needed
• Provide regular reporting and recommendations to the executive team on the state of the crop portfolio

Key Responsibilities

Product Management

• Develop and maintain a portfolio strategy for rice and corn products.
• Collaborate with R&D to guide new product development and enhancements.
• Conduct market research to identify trends and opportunities.
• Manage the entire product lifecycle, from concept to commercialization.

Brand Management

• Create strong brand positioning and awareness for rice and corn products.
• Ensure consistent messaging across all marketing channels.
• Develop educational materials for farmers about product benefits and usage.

Campaign Management

• Plan and execute marketing campaigns tailored to rice and corn markets.
• Work closely with sales teams to provide tools and materials for promotion.
• Organize trade shows, product launches, and promotional events.

Market & Customer Focus

• Build strong relationships with farmers, distributors, and stakeholders.
• Promote sustainability and ensure regulatory compliance in all products.

What we're looking for

• Minimum 5 years of experience in crop management or agribusiness, with a strong focus on rice and corn production
• Degree in agriculture, agronomy, or a related field
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and make data-driven decisions
• Strong project management and stakeholder engagement capabilities
• Familiarity with industry regulations, certifications, and best practices
• Passion for sustainable agriculture and a commitment to driving innovation in the sector
