Desktop EUC L1 role at Iron Systems, Inc Overview Desktop EUC L1 role description and responsibilities for Iron Systems, Inc. Responsibilities Provide IT infrastructure field support, troubleshooting hardware, software, and operating system issues while ensuring warranty and customer security compliance requirements are not violated. Install, troubleshoot, and repair desktops, printers, laptops, and other computer peripherals and desktop applications. Understand enterprise LAN and WAN concepts; perform smart-hand activities under instruction at client sites. Lift/move computer equipment weighing up to 50 lbs. Desk-side support and PC break/fix; basic administration of Windows OS and Mac/Linux OS (preferred) and Apple device troubleshooting. Knowledge of TCP/IP networking, DNS, DHCP, VPN, and RDP. Provide smart-hand support for peripheral and networking hardware (monitors, keyboards, mice, printers, scanners, routers, switches, firewalls, racks, data termination panels) under Smart Hands capability. Troubleshoot systems and networks using deductive reasoning; resolve issues related to end-user network cabling. Support RF devices, including Thermal and Zebra printers. Analyze recurring issues and develop preventive actions; assist with problem management. Demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication with clients and management. Meet deadlines, take proactive ownership, and work with urgency. Mobile Device Management (MDM) tools – MobileIron and Intune; set up devices for email, RSA authentication, VPN, and troubleshooting. Understand and troubleshoot Apple devices and apps. Knowledge of VDI, SCCM/LanDesk/Altiris, Skype for Business, and OneDrive. Preferably hold an Associate’s Degree in Electronics and CompTIA A+ Certification. Experience with ticketing tools (ServiceNow). Non-Technical Good customer management skills. Strong oral and written communication; bilingual resources where primary language is not English. Ability to interact with customers at different levels. Self-driven and result-oriented. Passion for the work. Qualifications Associate’s Degree in Electronics (preferred). CompTIA A+ Certification (preferred). Experience with ticketing tools (ServiceNow).
