Overview

Staff4Me is seeking a dedicated Network Monitoring Engineer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the performance and reliability of our network systems through proactive monitoring and troubleshooting. Your expertise will be vital in ensuring that our network infrastructure operates smoothly and securely, while collaborating with various teams to resolve issues and implement improvements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Implement and configure network monitoring tools to track performance metrics and alerts.
  • Analyze network traffic patterns and troubleshoot connectivity issues to maintain optimal system performance.
  • Respond to network alerts and incidents promptly, ensuring minimal disruption to services.
  • Collaborate with system and network engineers to identify and resolve potential network outages and vulnerabilities.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation of network monitoring processes, configurations, and incident reports.
  • Conduct regular network assessments and provide recommendations for improvements and optimizations.
  • Stay updated on the latest networking technologies and trends to enhance monitoring capabilities.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to junior team members as needed.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor\'s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in network monitoring or network administration roles.
  • Strong familiarity with network monitoring tools (e.g., ScienceLogic, SolarWinds, Nagios) and protocols.
  • Solid understanding of network infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls, and load balancers.
  • Experience with troubleshooting network performance issues using packet analysis and network diagnostic tools.
  • Knowledge of network security principles and best practices.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a detail-oriented approach.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, for effective collaboration across teams.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., CCNA, CompTIA Network+) are a plus.
  • Familiarity with virtualization technologies and cloud-based network monitoring solutions is a plus.
