The finance analyst / finance modeler shall create, maintain and update financial models, and assist and develop forecasts and budgets, including monitoring and control, thereof. He/she shall also aid in analyzing financial data, offering insights on historical and future financial performance. He/she shall also be able to provide supporting data and analysis that will help management in its operational and investment decisions.

Specific tasks/responsibilities:

  • Financial Modeling : Create, maintain, and update financial models
  • Forecasting : Assist in forecasting financial outcomes based on historical performance, market conditions, and assumptions for the future.
  • Scenario & Data Analysis : Perform sensitivity analysis and scenario modeling to predict outcomes of different business strategies and assess risks. Analyze financial data and interpret trends, offering insights on future financial performance.
  • Budget Preparation & Analysis : Coordinate with teams to develop budgets and review and analyze budget proposals ensuring they are reasonable and aligned with organizational goals.
  • Monitoring & Control : Track expenditures and monitor financial activity across various teams and projects to ensure compliance with approved budgets and financial model.
  • Compliance & Documentation : Ensure budgets comply with internal financial policies and regulatory requirements. Maintain accurate records of budgetary activities and changes.
  • Financial Reporting : Prepare and present periodic budget performance reports to management, detailing budget variances, trends, and financial forecasts.
  • Process Improvement : Continuously evaluate and improve budgeting and financial modeling processes and implement best practices for greater efficiency and accuracy.

Other Tasks:

  • Manage the team to carry out the functional tasks inherent in each individual including delegation of functional tasks and assess performance by giving and receiving feedback.
  • Provide support for financial analysis as deemed necessary.
Requirements:
  • Degree in Finance, Economics, Statistics, Accounting or Business Administration
  • 3-5 years experience in financial modeling, forecasting, budgeting or similar tasks
  • Advanced knowledge in MS Excel Functions
