Working as part of a collaborative team, you’ll oversee and manage a remote team of talented bookkeepers, ensuring high-quality and compliant financial record‑keeping. You’ll review delegated tasks, manage workflows, and support continuous process improvements while maintaining strong governance. Key Responsibilities Manage a review and approval for remote team members in line with established internal processes Manage and delegate work across a remote bookkeeping team Provide mentorship and performance feedback. Work Allocation & Quality Control Review completed work for accuracy, completeness, and compliance Ensure tasks meet Australian accounting and bookkeeping standards and deadlines Adapt to practice management systems for task management. Reporting & Compliance Oversee the preparation of financial reports and assist with reconciliations, BAS, IAS, payroll and superannuation Ability to create and follow working papers Ensure compliance with Australian regulations and accounting standards. Nurturing client relationships, acting as the key contact for a subset of clients Act as liaison between offshore team, internal stakeholders, and external advisors/auditors. Maintain strong communication channels and provide updates. Qualifications Minimum 3 years of bookkeeping/accounting experience in an Australian background. Proven experience managing teams, ideally including offshore staff. Proficiency in Xero, Xero Practice Manager, Microsoft Suite, Ignition, NowInfinity and other relevant software. Strong knowledge of Australian tax (BAS/IAS), payroll, superannuation, and compliance practices. Excellent attention to detail, organisational ability, and communication skills. Degree in Accounting or relevant certification (CPA / BAS Agent / equivalent) preferred.
