Your Role:
As an Accounts Payable Officer, you will be responsible for:
Management and maintenance of the day-to-day procurement and accounts payable function in Concur. Supporting the AP,AR & Credit manager on a daily basis and working closely with key stakeholders of the business to ensure purchase requests, purchase orders and invoices are verified, validated and processed on a timely basis to ensure invoices are paid by their due dates.
Key Accountabilities
  • Accounts Payable and Payment runs.
  • Managing the daily tasks of verification and validation of invoices and matching to purchase orders in Concur to ensure invoices are paid to suppliers by their due date.
  • Working with business stakeholders to ensure purchase requests and purchase orders are raised in a timely manner.
  • Performing month-end tasks and reconciliations for all bank accounts, Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivables.
  • Supporting the onboarding process for new suppliers and ensure compliance with amaysim Procurement policies.
  • Supporting in the preparation of EFTs and customer refunds for both domestic and international payments in local and foreign currencies.
  • Supporting to ensure Accounts Payables processes and policies are adhered to and have all relevant documentation to support any internal and external audit.
  • Being the back up for the AP, AR & Credit manager as and when required to ensure amaysim's Business Continuity Plan is adhered to.
  • Assisting the AP,AR and Credit manager with ad hoc activities such as commissions, unclaimed monies and agency invoices.
What You Need:
  • 2-5 years experience in Accounts Payables function
  • Graduate of Bachelor’s degree in accounting or Finance
  • Intermediate skills in Excel
  • Critical thinking and problem solving
  • Process and deadline driven mindset with an eye for detail
  • Good commercial and business acumen
  • Strong communication skills
