Job Summary As the Production Supervisor in our food manufacturing facility, you will be responsible for overseeing daily production operations, ensuring that products are manufactured efficiently, safely, and in compliance with quality standards. You will lead a team of production staff, manage production schedules, and troubleshoot any issues that arise during the production process. Your role is crucial in maintaining a high level of operational excellence and ensuring the timely delivery of high-quality food products. Job Description Responsibilities: Oversee all aspects of the production process, from raw material intake to finished product packaging, ensuring smooth and efficient operations. Lead, train, and supervise a team of production staff, providing guidance, support, and performance feedback to ensure optimal productivity and morale. Develop and implement production schedules to meet customer demand, optimizing resource utilization and minimizing downtime. Ensure that all products meet quality standards and comply with food safety regulations, conducting regular inspections and audits. Coordinate with maintenance staff to ensure that production equipment is properly maintained and in good working order, minimizing disruptions to production schedules. Identify and resolve any issues that arise during the production process, such as equipment malfunctions, quality deviations, or material shortages, implementing corrective actions as needed. Enforce safety policies and procedures to maintain a safe working environment, conducting safety training and addressing any safety concerns promptly. Monitor inventory levels of raw materials, packaging supplies, and finished products, coordinating with procurement and logistics teams to ensure adequate supply and minimize waste. Identify opportunities to improve production processes, reduce costs, and enhance efficiency, implementing changes in collaboration with engineering and quality assurance teams. Maintain accurate production records, including production logs, quality control reports, and equipment maintenance records, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Food Technology/Science, Engineering, or a related field. 3+ years of experience in food manufacturing, with at least 1 year in a supervisory role. Strong understanding of food processing techniques, quality control principles, and food safety regulations. Proficiency in operating and maintaining food production equipment, as well as using computer-based production management systems. Proven leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and manage a team of production staff effectively. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate clearly and concisely with team members, management, and other stakeholders. Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve issues quickly and effectively. High level of attention to detail, with the ability to ensure accuracy and compliance in all aspects of production operations.
