Success for ADAPTOVATE in no small part is backed by our Business Services Team which provides corporate services for ADAPTOVATE and other global businesses. This group is currently expanding its client base, and expanding the services it provides into Certification and Compliance management services for its clients, and we need a Lead to start and lead this service and its growth.

Role Overview

We are seeking a proactive and detail-driven Certification & Compliance Lead to manage and coordinate the certification and recertification processes for a portfolio of related companies, with a focus on B-Corp, ISO27001, ISO 42001, SOC 2 and GDPR, and other ESG or operational accreditations.

You will lead end-to-end planning, stakeholder coordination, data collection, and documentation for companies at various stages of certification —from initial benchmarking to renewal audits. Your work will directly support our commitment to ethical business, sustainability, and operational excellence.

What You’ll Be Doing
  • Certification Program and Team development
  • Develop plan to execute on B-Corp, ISO27001, ISO 42001, SOC 2 and GDPR certifications as required across the businesses that ADAPTOVATE Business Services Team supports
  • Develop the team required to facilitate certification as needed using contractors, consultants and internal team members in these businesses
  • Track and maintain certification timelines , milestones, and renewals
  • Stakeholder Engagement
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders (leadership, HR, Ops, Legal) to gather the required documentation and data
  • Act as the liaison with certification bodies , auditors, and consultants
  • Support teams in implementing corrective actions or improvements as required
  • Process Improvement & Readiness
  • Perform gap assessments and readiness reviews for certification requirements
  • Document and standardise policies, procedures, controls , and reporting frameworks
  • Recommend best practices to enhance governance, sustainability, and social performance
  • Utilise the Drata or similar platform to manage these certifications
  • Monitoring & Reporting
  • Maintain certification records and registers for all entities
  • Prepare reports for management on certification status, risks, and upcoming requirements
  • Track relevant regulatory or standards changes (B Lab, ISO, etc.)
What We’re Looking For
  • Must-haves
  • 3-7+ years' experience managing B Corp or ISO certification projects including B-Corp, ISO27001, ISO 42001, SOC 2 and GDPR
  • Experience with B Impact Assessment platform and Drata or similar or certification management systems
  • Strong project management, including building and maintaining certification frameworks and leading audits
  • Exceptional written communication and documentation ability
  • Comfortable working across multiple businesses and diverse stakeholders
  • Track record in policy/process documentation and continuous improvement for ESG and/or quality or certification standards

Nice to haves

  • Knowledge of ISO
  • Exposure to SME or multi-entity business environments
  • Consulting or advisory background in ESG, compliance, or operations
  • Experience managing compliance in fast-growth or global settings
