Job SummaryWe are seeking a Sales Engineer with an Engineering background who can bridge technical expertise and sales execution to drive business for smart metering and IoT sensor systems. You will build and manage a strong pipeline, generate leads, close deals, and play a key role in identifying new IoT opportunities and verticals for business expansion.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and manage a robust B2B sales pipeline, from lead generation to closing deals.
- Identify and qualify new leads through direct outreach, digital channels, referrals, and events.
- Assist in designing integrated software and hardware systems tailored to various industry needs
- Support the sourcing and procurement of hardware components from international suppliers
- Collaborate closely with the software team to design, develop, and test end-to-end systems based on client requirements
- Present, promote, and sell IoT solutions to existing and prospective customers.
- Work closely with the technical team to create tailored proposals and demos.
- Deliver commercial offers, pricing, and contracts based on client requirements.
- Build and maintain strong, long-term client relationships and ensure post-sale satisfaction.
- Actively explore and recommend new IoT applications and industries where IoTera solutions can be adopted (e.g., HVAC monitoring, building automation, logistics tracking, agri-tech).
- Conduct market and competitor research to refine targeting and go-to-market strategies.
- Maintain accurate CRM entries and sales activity reports.
- Attend relevant trade shows, industry expos, and conferences to promote IoTera’s brand.
- Licensed Mechanical Engineer with solid technical grounding in fluid systems, HVAC, or utilities.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in technical or solution sales, preferably in IoT, utilities, industrial automation, or related fields.
- Familiar with smart metering technologies, LoRaWAN, NB-IoT, or sensor-based systems is a plus.
- Strong interpersonal, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Excellent command of English and Filipino; Mandarin is a plus.
- Self-motivated, result-oriented, and able to work independently or as part of a lean, agile team.
- Willingness to travel to client sites and exhibitions when required.
