What You'll Do
As Finance Controller, you will be entrusted with end-to-end responsibility for the organisation’s financial health. Your day-to-day activities will involve close collaboration with cross-functional teams to build robust analytics frameworks that inform strategic decisions.

• Oversee all aspects of financial reporting, planning, and analysis by collaborating with sales, business development, marketing, and operations teams to develop comprehensive business analytics and KPI tracking systems.
• Monitor actual versus budgeted performance for key metrics and implement initiatives to track gross profit by line of business and client at each site.
• Maintain a thorough understanding of cost structures and breakeven points by line of business at every facility to support informed decision-making.
• Proactively manage company expenses by partnering with other departments such as operations and engineering to drive productivity improvements including energy savings and labour cost optimisation.
• Design, automate, and maintain management reporting functions to ensure timely monthly closings (including warehouse-level reports) and facilitate consolidation for shareholders.
• Evaluate current accounting software and management information systems (MIS), recommending or implementing upgrades as needed to enhance efficiency.
• Lead the preparation of audited financial statements in accordance with relevant standards while spearheading budgeting processes and long-term financial projections.
• Play an integral role in scenario planning for major projects such as new site launches or asset acquisitions, ensuring alignment with long-term financial goals.
• Optimise capital structure by negotiating credit facilities with lending institutions, managing debt servicing schedules, monitoring covenant compliance, and maximising returns on surplus cash.
• Support commercial teams in pricing strategies for contract renewals or new customer acquisition while reviewing internal controls, treasury functions, tax compliance, investor relations communications, and regulatory submissions.
  

What You Bring
To excel as a Finance Controller within this leading logistics company, you bring a wealth of experience grounded in both technical expertise and people-centred leadership. Your background as a CPA ensures adherence to local accounting standards while your extensive career equips you with insights from top-tier firms as well as industry-specific knowledge gained within logistics or related sectors.

• Chartered Accountant or CPA qualification with an excellent grasp of Philippine accounting standards and regulations is essential for this position.
• A minimum of 13 years’ relevant experience —ideally including tenure at a Big Four accounting firm coupled with exposure to integrated logistics providers or similar industries.
• Intermediate knowledge of commercial environments as well as regulatory/legal/tax frameworks within the Philippines is highly valued.
• Demonstrated experience building up Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) functions from scratch is important for success in this role.
• Proficiency in using accounting software packages along with Management Information Systems (MIS) is necessary; experience evaluating or implementing new systems would be advantageous.
• A commercial mindset paired with natural curiosity about operational processes helps you identify opportunities for improvement throughout the organisation’s value chain.
• Willingness to adopt a hands-on approach—including training team members—demonstrates your commitment to nurturing talent while fostering continuous improvement.
