About the Role

The Payroll Supervisor is responsible for overseeing end-to-end payroll processing and administration for US-based employees. This includes leading a team of payroll processors, ensuring compliance with U.S. federal, state, and local wage and tax regulations, and maintaining the highest standards of confidentiality and data integrity. The role serves as the subject matter expert (SME) in payroll and is accountable for ensuring accurate and timely payroll delivery for high-volume, multi-state operations.

  • Onsite/Hybrid and Night Shift
Key Functions
  • Oversee and manage end-to-end payroll processing for U.S.-based employees, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
  • Lead and coach a team of payroll processors, providing daily guidance, performance feedback, and support in onboarding, training, and development.
  • Serve as the subject matter expert (SME) for U.S. payroll, resolving complex issues, and acting as the primary point of contact between the GCC and stateside teams.
  • Ensure payroll compliance and audit readiness by applying regulatory knowledge and supporting internal and external audit activities.
  • Respond to and resolve escalated employee inquiries, ensuring excellent customer service and timely issue resolution via phone or ticketing systems.
  • Review payroll outputs, audits, and exception reports, identifying and correcting errors prior to finalization.
  • Monitor and report team performance metrics, quality indicators, and service level delivery to support continuous improvement.
  • Drive process improvements and automation initiatives to enhance payroll efficiency, accuracy, and employee experience.
  • Utilize payroll systems and tools effectively, including Workday, UKG, Excel, and case management tools like ServiceNow.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality and foster a collaborative environment across the GCC and with internal stakeholders.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, Finance or Human Resources (required)
  • 6+ years in a payroll processing role (required)
  • 4+ years experience processing large volume, multi-state payroll (required)
  • 3+ years of experience leading or supervising a payroll team
  • Experience working in shared service, global environment (preferred)
