About the job
The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in our company's financial health, primarily responsible for accounting and management, as well as tax and audit reporting. He/she will ensure that all financial records are maintained in accordance with the company's prescribed policies and procedures, in conformity with regulatory requirements, accounting standards, and internal controls.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and submit accurate monthly, quarterly, and yearly BIR returns, including VAT, Income Tax, Withholding Tax, and other local taxes, with required Alphalist attachments (detailed employee compensation and tax withheld). Provide tax assessment support.
- Ensure compliance with Philippine government regulations, including timely filing of BIR, SEC, and other government-related documents and reports.
- Provide support during internal and external audits by preparing required documentation, schedules, and reports related to taxes and compliance.
- Assist in preparing financial statements and reports for management review, highlighting any discrepancies or compliance-related issues.
- Prepare journal entries, reconciliations, and accounting schedules to support month-end and quarter-end close processes.
- Oversee accounts receivable and payable processes.
- Implement and maintain internal financial controls to safeguard company assets.
- Assist with other finance functions and duties as required.
Qualifications
- BS Accountancy graduate; preferably CPA
- At least two years of experience in taxes, auditing, accounting, or financial reporting
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Collaborative, Agile, and Resourceful; highly analytical with strong problem-solving abilities
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to build relationships across organizational levels
- Maintains high ethical standards in all dealings
