Remote Sensing Analyst (GIS Specialist) Location: Butuan City, Agusan del Norte (Open for Remote Setup) Employment Type: Full-time About the Role We are looking for a Remote Sensing Analyst (GIS Specialist) to support our geospatial and environmental data initiatives. The role involves analyzing satellite and aerial imagery, producing spatial data, and generating maps and insights to support planning, monitoring, and decision-making projects. This position is based in Butuan City, Agusan del Norte , but qualified candidates may also work remotely . Key Responsibilities Process and analyze satellite imagery and remote sensing data using GIS and related tools. Create and maintain geospatial databases , maps, and spatial models. Conduct land cover classification , change detection , and environmental monitoring . Generate reports, maps, and visualizations to support project requirements. Collaborate with project teams to integrate spatial data into workflows and analyses. Ensure data accuracy, documentation, and compliance with project standards. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Geography, Geodetic Engineering, Environmental Science, Forestry, or related field . Experience in GIS and remote sensing analysis (e.g., ArcGIS, QGIS, ERDAS, ENVI, Google Earth Engine). Knowledge of spatial data processing, cartography, and geospatial databases. Familiarity with Python or R for spatial analysis is an advantage. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Able to work independently and communicate effectively in a remote or field-based environment. Work Setup & Location Primary assignment: Butuan City, Agusan del Norte Remote work option: Available for qualified candidates Occasional fieldwork or travel may be required depending on project needs.
