The Bank Loan Manager will oversee and manage the bank’s lending operations to ensure profitable loan portfolio growth, sound credit quality, and compliance with regulatory standards. This role will supervise loan officers, evaluate credit applications, and develop strategies to attract and retain quality borrowers—particularly within the agricultural, SME, and retail sectors served by the rural bank. Key Responsibilities 1. Loan Operations & Portfolio Management Supervise end-to-end loan processing activities, from application to approval, release, and collection. Evaluate and approve credit applications within delegated authority; endorse large accounts for higher approval. Monitor loan performance, portfolio quality, and delinquency ratios; implement remedial actions for past-due accounts. Ensure compliance with BSP regulations, internal credit policies, and lending guidelines. 2. Business Development Develop and implement lending programs to increase loan volume, particularly in priority segments (e.g., MSMEs, agriculture, microfinance, consumer loans). Build relationships with clients, local business owners, cooperatives, and community partners to generate leads. Conduct market analysis to identify new lending opportunities and competitive trends. Lead, coach, and mentor loan officers and account officers to achieve lending targets and maintain strong credit discipline. Conduct regular performance reviews and provide training to enhance staff competencies in credit evaluation and client management. Maintain high standards of credit risk assessment and loan documentation. Ensure compliance with Anti-Money Laundering (AML) laws, KYC requirements, and other regulatory standards. Coordinate with internal audit and risk departments on loan portfolio reviews and compliance audits. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Banking & Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or related field. At least 5 years of experience in credit or lending operations, with 2+ years in a managerial or supervisory role (preferably in a rural, thrift, or commercial bank). Strong understanding of BSP regulations, credit risk management, and loan documentation processes. Excellent leadership, analytical, and communication skills. Familiarity with local markets and clientele in Cavite or nearby provinces is an advantage. Preferred Attributes Strong community orientation and customer relationship management skills.
