Conduct research on inflation, exchange rate, and surcharges when necessary Qualifications A degree in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering, quantity surveying, construction management, or a related field, with good academic standing Possession of or progress toward a relevant certification is a plus, specifically MEP Engineering Ideally, 2 years of experience in MEP quantity surveying or cost estimation for small to medium-scale residential, commercial, industrial, hospitality, and/or corporate projects (e.g. offices, etc.). Fresh graduates with relevant internships or coursework may also be considered. Willing to be trained in cost planning and creating reports on costing data Strong analytical and mathematical skills to perform accurate cost calculations and budget analysis. Ability to put together a professional presentation of figures/cost estimates Meticulous attention to detail when conducting quantity takeoffs and reviewing project documentation. Effective communication skills to collaborate with Director of Engineering, Sr. Quantity Surveyor, and other team members Ability to adapt to changing project requirements and priorities in a dynamic construction environment.
