Overview

IONOS is seeking an experienced, skilled and passionate Software Developer for QA automation to ensure that our cloud products and services meet the highest standards of quality, security, and reliability. The successful candidate will have a technical background in cloud computing, quality assurance, and software development and will collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement process improvements.

Responsibilities
  • Automate test suites from scratch and extend test coverage to reduce production impacts and post-release fixes
  • Establish testing environments
  • Perform defect detection
  • Be embedded into the team, working closely with developers in a DevOps model for seamless collaboration and improved workflow
  • Work in an agile environment
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent work experience
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in software development, preferably in QA automation
  • Knowledge of frontend test automation tools (Playwright, Selenium, Cypress)
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines
  • Proficient in a scripting language, e.g., TypeScript or Python
  • Proficient with Git for version control, including command-line operations, branch management, and repository handling
  • Good knowledge of cloud computing (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and cloud-based software applications (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS)
  • Strong knowledge of Linux, Virtual Machines, Kubernetes, Microservices and Docker Containers is a plus
