Job PurposeJob Purpose: Manages the activities involved in the design, preparation, delivery and need assessment of training and development programs for company managers and employees.
Responsibilities- Partner with HR professionals to assess and implement organizational development programs, processes and training initiatives that support organizational strategies.
- Identify company needs for leadership development, succession planning, career management, interpersonal skills and communication training.
- Develop and/or approve content, methods, and materials for training staff; may conduct courses.
- Develop evaluation methods for program effectiveness, including new employee orientation, performance management and organizational development training.
- Select, develop, and evaluate personnel to ensure efficient operation of the function.
- Conduct supervisory, management or nontechnical skills training for internal staff.
- Use needs assessment tools to determine training effectiveness and work with functional units to develop course content specifications.
- Prepare lesson plans with method, media and documentation; instruct participants in classroom or group sessions.
- Conduct follow-up to determine applicability of course material.
- Develop and administer staffing, employment and recruiting programs; document job requirements and postings with hiring managers.
- Identify appropriate recruiting sources; promote the company image to candidates and external providers.
- Source candidates and build networks/pipelines to support a strong candidate pool.
- Pre-screen resumes and evaluate electronic candidate evaluation tools; document evaluation and interview processes.
- Negotiate or support hiring managers in developing new hire compensation packages/offers; may conduct background checks.
- Collaborate with agencies, recruiters and online platforms for advertising campaigns; provide performance feedback on recruiting sources as needed.
- Experience in talent development, organizational development, or related HR functions.
- Ability to design, deliver and evaluate training programs; strong facilitation and instructional design skills.
- Experience with needs assessment, succession planning, performance management, and employee development initiatives.
- Knowledge of recruitment processes and employer branding; ability to manage vendor relationships and recruitment marketing.
- Strong interpersonal, communication and collaboration skills; ability to build partnerships with internal stakeholders.
