
Talent and Organizational Development Manager

Job Purpose:
- Manages the activities involved in the design, preparation, delivery and need assessment of training and development programs for company managers and employees.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Joins in partnership with other HR professionals to assess and implement organizational development programs, processes and training initiatives to support organizational strategies.
- Determines company needs for leadership development, succession planning, career management, interpersonal skills and communication training.
- Develops and/or approves content, methods, and materials for training staff and may conduct courses.
- Develops methods for evaluation of program effectiveness including development and delivery of programs, such as new employee orientation, performance management and/or organizational development training.
- Selects, develops, and evaluates personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the function.
- Conducts supervisory, management or nontechnical skills training courses for internal staff.
- Uses needs assessment tools to determine effectiveness of proposed training programs. Interacts with functional organizations to develop specifications for content of courses.
- Prepares lesson plans including the method, media, and documentation to be presented. Instructs participants in classroom lectures and/or group sessions.
- Conducts follow up to determine applicability of course material.
- Develops and administers staffing/employment/recruiting programs.
- Works with hiring manager to document requirements of job openings as required opening requisition(s).
- Determines appropriate recruiting sources for advertising and posting positions.
- Promotes the company image to candidates and external service providers.
- Surfaces candidates and develops networks of people and processes to support a strong pipeline of qualified candidates.
- Pre-screens resumes and evaluates effectiveness of electronic candidate evaluation tools.
- Documents candidate evaluation and interview process.
- Negotiates and/or supports hiring manager in developing new hire compensation package/offers.
- May conduct employment background checks.
- Works with agencies, recruiting contractors and/or internet website representatives in the course of conducting employment advertising campaigns.
- May provide performance feedback on all recruiting agencies/sources.
