Job Summary We are seeking a Senior Bridge Engineer to join TYLin’s Bridge Sector in Manila. This role offers the opportunity to lead projects across the Philippines, combining technical expertise with client engagement. The ideal candidate will be a technically strong, proactive leader eager to take on responsibility for project execution and client relationships. Responsibilities Apply strong technical expertise in the preliminary and detailed design of bridges, culverts, retaining walls, and other transportation‑related structures. Provide technical support during construction phases, including site inspections and contract administration. Prepare engineering drawings and documentation for projects of varying complexity, ensuring compliance with applicable standards (e.g., AASHTO, GDOT) and internal procedures. Serve in a key technical role on both conventional and alternative delivery bridge projects nationwide. Lead multi‑disciplinary bridge design projects for public sector clients, ensuring high‑quality, timely, and budget‑conscious delivery. Act as the Primary Client Manager for districts in the Philippines, maintaining strong client relationships. Lead proposal development efforts to strengthen and expand existing relationships within the transportation sector. Serve as Pursuit Lead for key opportunities in the country, especially within the Manila Bridge Sector, and support alternative delivery pursuits. Represent the team in public presentations, providing technical and design‑related communication to stakeholders. Perform additional tasks and responsibilities as assigned by the Bridge Director or leadership team. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in civil/structural engineering required; Master’s preferred. Registered professional engineer in the Philippines, or member of the International Engineering Council, or equivalent organization. 10+ years’ experience in designing steel and concrete buildings. Experience mentoring junior engineers is a plus. Familiarity with special seismic provisions and steel connection design provisions of Philippine and AISC codes. Strong project management, client relationship management, and engineering principles skills. Knowledge of engineering principles and industry standards. Proficiency with AutoCAD. Travel may be required. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective team collaboration and relationship building.
