Qualifications & Experience Post-Graduation in Civil/Structure Engineering A candidate with 5–8 years of relevant experience in the design of highway and rail bridges and multi-disciplinary infrastructure projects Experience in the design delivery of civil works and utility structures will be considered an added advantage Role accountabilities Demonstrates the ability to work independently and manage minor projects involving standard structural designs for highways, railways, and related civil or utility works Collaborates with project leads and reviewers on complex or major projects, actively seeking feedback and delivering value-added solutions throughout the project lifecycle Participates in all stages of Civil designs from conceptualisation, optioneering, detail engineering to construction stage support Guides junior team members in safe design and resolving straightforward design issues Ensures quality by verifying design submittals and collaborating with senior staff to meet project requirements Supports the project lead or independently manages programme timelines, budgets, and health & safety requirements across projects as needed Develops effective working relationships with other disciplines and with senior colleagues in GEC, Canada, and other regions as necessary Required Specific Competencies Confident in working independently with strong influencing, motivating, and delegating skills; excellent written and verbal communication Knowledge of Canadian (CSA/NBC) and US (AASHTO/ACI) design standards and delivery processes for the ANA region Experience in design of prestressed and steel composite bridges (vehicular, pedestrian, and utility bridges) Ability to conceptualize, design, coordinate highway, railway, civil and utility structures using digital tools and validate with engineering principles Skilled in design checks as part of an independent check/review team and coordinating interdisciplinary issue resolution Knowledge of software such as MIDAS, ROBOT, STAAD; plus LEAP Bridge Design, RAM Connection Experience with various analysis methods (FEA, grillage models, line diagrams, basic geometry) and validating results Thorough knowledge of BIM processes and common data environment; working knowledge of Revit, MicroStation, ProjectWise, and Autodesk Construction Cloud Ability to integrate design and drafting tools for project delivery Why Arcadis?
