
Events Sales Executive

Role Summary The Events Sales Executive drives revenue by securing events business for the property. The role covers the sales of function space, banquet packages, meetings, weddings, conferences, and other social or corporate gatherings. This position builds strong client relationships, develops tailored proposals, and ensures seamless event delivery in coordination with operations teams. Functional Duties and Responsibilities Identifies and develops new business opportunities in the events and catering segments (weddings, social functions, meetings, conferences). Prepares and presents customized proposals, quotations, and contracts to prospective clients. Conducts site inspections, menu tastings, and event briefings with clients. Works closely with Banquet Operations, Culinary, and F&B teams to ensure event requirements are properly executed. Negotiates pricing, packages, and event details to maximize profitability while ensuring guest satisfaction. Maintains strong relationships with corporate accounts, event organizers, and wedding planners. Participates in trade shows, bridal fairs, networking functions, and promotional activities to generate leads. Prepares sales reports, forecasts, and performance analyses specific to the events segment. Keeps updated on market trends, competitor activities, and client feedback to improve offerings. Ensures all event contracts, billing, and documentation comply with company standards. Assists in the execution of high-profile or large-scale events, ensuring premium service. Completes all reports and documentation accurately and within deadlines. Performs other duties as assigned. Organizational Responsibilities Internal / External Relations and Communications Represents the property professionally in all interactions with clients, suppliers, and partners. Collaborates with Banquet Operations, F&B, Kitchen, and other departments for flawless event execution. Actively participates in meetings and departmental briefings. Human Resource Management and Leadership Supports departmental strategies in line with sales and revenue targets. Provides input on team development and contributes to knowledge-sharing. Champions company culture, service standards, and values. General Responsibilities Complies with all policies, SOPs, and brand standards. Supports corporate initiatives and local sales campaigns. Meets agreed revenue and performance targets for the events segment. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Hotel & Restaurant Management, Tourism, Business, or related field. At least 2 years of experience in events or catering sales, preferably in hospitality. Strong knowledge of event operations, F&B packages, and banquet sales processes. Proficiency in hotel software (Opera, Delphi, or equivalent) and MS Office. Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Customer-oriented with the ability to build long-term relationships. Skilled in up-selling and cross-selling events and banquet services.
